Thunderbird

Some ISP's block SMTP Relay causing outgoing messages to bounce. If you are still experiencing problems with outgoing mail after changing the port settings in the last example you may have to use you ISP's outgoing SMTP mail server settings. Please follow the instructions below.

Click on "Tools" and "Account Settings"

Select Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the left
Make sure your outgoing mail server is set to smtp.yourisp.com
(You may have to call your ISP to get the correct SMTP Outgoing mail server settings.)
Make sure the Outgoing Server Port setting is set to 25 since you are going to be using your ISP.
Check "Use name and password" and type in your email name@yourisp.com
Check "No" for secure connection
Click OK

When you attempt to send email:

You will be asked to enter your password for your ISP's SMTP Outgoing Mail Server; fill in your password.
You can also choose if you want Thunderbird to remember the password by checking the box.
