Windows Mail - Applying Your ISP Outgoing SMTP Email Server Settings
Some ISP's block the SMTP Relay causing outgoing messages to bounce. If you are still experiencing problems with outgoing mail after changing the port settings in the last example you may have to use you ISP's outgoing SMTP mail server settings. Please follow the instructions below.

1. Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Mail.

2. Click the Tools menu, and then click Accounts.

3. Under Mail, click your e-mail account, and then click "Properties".

4. Click the "Servers" tab, and then enter the ISP mail server in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) box.

5. If the new outgoing mail server requires authentication, under Outgoing Mail Server, select the "My server requires authentication" check box.

6. Click "Settings", click Log on using, and then enter your ISP user name and password for the outgoing mail server.

7. Go to the Advanced tab.

5. Under Server Port Numbers, in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type 25 and then click OK.
